Questions

Is it a power paddle or a control paddle? Power-first. The 14mm core plays faster, with more pop than a 16mm paddle. For more control and a larger sweet spot, choose a 16mm State Collection or Kristen & Kristy paddle.

Is it tournament legal? Yes, in USA Pickleball sanctioned tournaments. It is on the approved paddle list as MES1.0.

Which color suits a minimal look? Grey: grey on grey, still printed with the ARTI wordmark and halftone band.

Mastery Elite or State Collection: which should I choose? Choose Mastery Elite 1.0 for power: its 14mm core gives the most pop and speed in the ARTI lineup. Choose a 16mm State Collection or Kristen & Kristy paddle for more control, a larger sweet spot and original art. All three lines share a raw carbon fiber face, a honeycomb polymer core and an edgeless build.

Is it a good gift for a serious player? Yes. It is ARTI's power paddle, built for players who want more pop and speed, and it is on the USA Pickleball approved list as MES1.0. It comes in one build in three colors, Olive Green, Grey and Brown, so the only choice is the color.

· QUESTIONS

Mastery Elite 1.0: questions players ask

Is the Mastery Elite 1.0 a control paddle or a power paddle?

Power-first. Its 14mm core plays faster, with more pop than a 16mm paddle, and it is the flagship of the ARTI Pickleball lineup. For more control and a larger sweet spot, choose a 16mm State Collection or Kristen & Kristy paddle.

Is the Mastery Elite 1.0 tournament legal?

Yes. It is on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list as MES1.0, so it is legal in USA Pickleball sanctioned tournaments.

What colors does the Mastery Elite 1.0 come in?

Three: Olive Green, Grey and Brown. Each one is printed with a large ARTI wordmark and a halftone band. Grey is the most minimal look, grey on grey.

What are the Mastery Elite 1.0 specs?

14mm thick, raw carbon fiber face, honeycomb polymer core, edgeless, with a triple-throat handle. 16.34 in long, 7.5 in wide, 7.8 to 8.0 oz.

Should I choose the Mastery Elite or a 16mm ARTI paddle?

Choose the Mastery Elite if you like a quicker, livelier feel from a 14mm core. If you want more control and a softer touch for dinks and resets, ARTI's 16mm carbon paddles, the State Collection and the Kristen & Kristy line, are the better fit.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.7 / 5 from 46 reviews.

Paddle too thin and made a sound like it was breaking under 80 percent drives and overheads. I also did not love the window size and overall handle length compared to length of paddle. It was also very thin which helped with pop, but it still almost felt like it was flexing under harder shots and it didn’t give a feeling of long term quality and durability.
